The TOWNER Down Tension Bar and Hinge Plate Adaptor System is designed for the BIGSBY® B3 and BIGSBY® B6 vibrato tailpieces.

• Mounted to the stop tailpiece studs in place of the stop tailpiece, the studs provide the ability to raise or lower the TOWNER Down Tension Bar. Controlling how much downward tension you want on your strings, therefore, managing your guitar strings sustain.
• This simple function is ideal and becomes a custom setup for every player with a BIGSBY® vibrato tailpiece because every guitar setup is different. From the gauge of the strings the players likes to use to the action of the strings, type and height of the bridge and type of nut.
• The TOWNER Hinge Plate Adaptor is designed to lift your strap lock or strap button out above the slot in BIGSBY® B3 hinge plates for easier access to your strap lock or strap button. Some strap lock buttons and strap buttons do not fit between the slot of the BIGSBY® B3.
• The TOWNER Hinge Plate Adaptor slot provides room for exact placement of the BIGSBY®.
• The TOWNER Hinge Plate Adaptor acts as a retainer holding the BIGSBY® vibrato tailpiece to the guitar body with a 2″ screw placed through the strap button, relieving you from having to drill the four extra screws into your guitar provided with BIGSBY® B3.

*NOTE – CHECK WIDTH of STUD NECK POST:

Measure the neck width of your studs, they should be NO wider than 0.265 inches, if they are wider than 0.265 inches you will need to purchase different tailpiece mounting studs. Gibson Memphis reissues and Gibson reissues sometimes have wider neck posts, measure to be sure.
